Shaft 2 area Repurposed Facilities Training Center, located in Umnu Gobi Province, Hanbogd soum, Oyu Tolgoi project site was produced by “NCCS” LLC. Existing building planning was replanned for training facility purposes.
The Training center is a building to serve the Oyu Tolgoi underground crew. This set of construction drawings is designed in compliance with Mongolian building codes and standards.
The existing building is a, sinking dry purpose, 31.5m long and 26m wide,1 storey building with metal structure, sandwich panel walls, and decking. For optimal use of interior space 2nd floor was added while maintaining the main structure and exterior walls. Based on structural engineering calculations supporting columns, beams, and slabs were added.
The material used for new exterior wall is the same as the existing building exterior wall material (60mm thermal insulated, fire-resistant sandwich panel with protective steel coating.)
New windows shall be metal frame triple vacuum glass windows.
New doors shall be a glazed metal doors.
All internal walls are re-planned for this project.
All columns and internal parts of the exterior wall shall have an interior finishing.
Columns located in simulator area shall not have an interior finishing
